About this Work

This piece started as a flirty romantic idea but when I see it today it is more about nurturance and care. The act of feeding someone else is a true gesture of love. I think about parents feeding their kids, and the best friend who drags your silly-drunk-butt to the Diner to get some food and water in you after a long fun night of goofing.

My partner at the time had this term “girlfriend ice cream” for the freezer treats he keeps around whenever you are dating someone-Just in case they were having a bad day or sweet tooth emergency. I think about that a lot, it was such a small concept but it really showed a type of care that meant the world.
