Zebra Mutual Aid

Palace of Trash Presents: Be Gay Do Crime

This Show took place on June 2023 at Oasis night club in San Franscico. This production was the second of its name. The first focusing on dismantling Systems of oppression by any means necessary and this 2023 show asking what world we can imagine after such actions. Numbers in this show; critiqued rainbow capitalism and police at pride, celebrated coming out journeys, uplifted trans elders and payed homage to ancestors who paved the way with their queer and rebellious behaviors.

In this performance, Krista’s persona Foxy Lobotomy explores the story of a zebra raised by horses who travels away from the lands it was from to arrive in an oasis of found family of unicorns and Pegasi. Once happy and comfortable around their new community the family teams up to break out fellow equestrian outcasts that have been imprisioned by the Law Endorsement.

This number features a live vocals by Carly Ozard covering Thin Lizzie’s “Jail Break”.  Foxy Lobotomy is accompanied by the performers Mommy Dommest and Steven Satyricon.

This story reflects the artists own migration from Southern California to the Bay Area and found family in Palace of Trash and the work that the queer community does to support each other and those marginalized by society.
